How well do modal silk sarees retain color?

I have encountered a Modal Silk Saree and found it to be extremely soft and light to wear. It appears to be of silk texture but is much more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. Have you all tried wearing modal silk sarees to the office or for occasions? How is their color retention after being washed, and are they suitable for weddings in summers?
