Frustrated trying to find truly transparent saffron. Anyone have reliable sources?

I love cooking with saffron, but lately I've been getting really frustrated. I want to know exactly where my saffron comes from, how the farmers are treated, and the real story behind its quality. Every website just says "premium" or "finest," but no real details about the supply chain.

I’m trying to do better and buy more ethically, but it feels like an impossible task. Has anyone else struggled with this? I recently came across a site called SaffronWell that seems to focus on saffron supply chain transparency, but I’m curious about your experiences.

What should I actually be looking for? And does anyone know of sources that genuinely provide full transparency from field to jar?
