Anyone else stressed about leaving their car for summer?
21 hours ago by Thomas Wilson
I'm heading home for a few weeks and honestly the thing I'm most stressed about is leaving my car at the airport. I've had a battery die on me before after just 10 days, and it was such a hassle getting a jump start in the parking lot. I've been reading up on proper vehicle care when leaving a car unused, especially in this heat, and learned some interesting things. For example, did you know that simply disconnecting the battery isn't always the best move for modern cars because it can reset all the computers and you might lose settings? The guide I found also explains why a battery maintainer is better than a trickle charger. Definitely worth looking into if you're traveling this summer.
