I recently started supplying high-end glassware to a few restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and honestly the shipping part of this business is giving me more anxiety than anything else. I've had two shipments in the past month arrive with cracked items, and even though I packed them carefully myself with bubble wrap and foam, I'm starting to think I just don't have the right materials or expertise to do this properly. Each piece is expensive and the margins aren't huge, so even one broken item per order eats into my profit pretty quickly. A fellow supplier mentioned that I should learn more about durable crate and logistics options that are designed specifically for fragile freight, and that maybe I need to stop trying to handle this myself and find someone who actually knows what they're doing. I'm based in Ajman, so I'm hoping to find a local company that can either advise me on the right crating materials or even handle the packing and shipping for me on these more delicate orders. If anyone here ships fragile items regularly, I'd really appreciate hearing how you keep things intact during transport and whether you've found a reliable partner in the area.
